DC Kupwara interacts with martyrs’ families

Kupwara, Jan 22: On the eve of the forthcoming 77th Republic Day, the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikhant Suse,  today organised a tea party-cum-interaction with Veer Naris, Veer Mata and Veer Pita at Mini Meeting Hall of DC Office complex Kupwara.

 

The event was held as a mark of respect and remembrance for the families of the brave soldiers who laid down their lives in the service of the nation.

 

During the interaction, the DC personally met each family member, acknowledged the supreme sacrifice of their loved ones and reaffirmed the unwavering support of the District Administration towards their welfare.

 

On the occasion, the DC appealed to the families to avail benefits under various centrally sponsored welfare schemes meant for ex-servicemen and their dependents. He also facilitated their visit to the Centre of Excellence established at the DC Office Complex, Kupwara, aimed at improving service delivery and public facilitation.

 

Col. S.S. Raja (Retd.), Zila Sainik Welfare Officer, expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of Veer Naris and ex-servicemen to the DC for his thoughtful initiative, valuable time and for organising the meaningful event in honour of the families of the fallen heroes.

 

The meeting was attended by ACR Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad, Veer Naris, Veer Mata, Veer Pita and Ex-servicemen.
