Principal GMC Srinagar reviews hospital preparedness amid adverse weather

SRINAGAR, JANUARY 27: In view of the prevailing adverse weather conditions, Principal/Dean Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, Prof (Dr.) Iffat Hassan, conducted an extensive visit to all associated hospitals, accompanied by Administrator Associated Hospitals, Mohammad Ashraf Hakak.

The visit, as per an official statement covered SMHS Hospital, Super Speciality Hospital Shiren Bagh, Lalla Ded (LD) Hospital, Chest Disease Hospital, Bone & Joint Hospital, Children Hospital Bemina, Psychiatry Hospital, SDH Block Hazratbal, Kashmir Nursing Home, UG/ PG Hostels, Nursing Hospital GMC Srinagar and others.

Prof. Iffat reviewed healthcare facilities preparedness, directing Medical Superintendents to ensure uninterrupted patient care, essential medicines, emergency services, and critical care services.

She emphasized zero tolerance for lapses in patient services during harsh weather. The Administrator assured full administrative and logistical support, stating departments are on high alert.

 Medical Superintendents confirmed essential facilities are in place and staff is deployed for seamless healthcare delivery.

Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Personnel Officer, and other officers accompanied the Principal/Dean during the inspection.
