Jammu, Feb 16: Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary on Monday reiterated government’s determination towards ensuring people-centric governance in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Deputy Chief Minister was interacting with various public and individual delegations at the Civil Secretariat, Jammu.

During the interaction, the Deputy Chief Minister said that all efforts are being made to ensure timely completion of developmental projects and prompt service delivery across all government offices.

The delegations who called on the Deputy Chief Minister hailed from Kishtwar, Rajouri, Jammu, Kathua, Baramulla, Srinagar, Ganderbal and other districts of Jammu and Kashmir. They raised issues pertaining to construction of roads, bridges and culverts, mining-related matters, concerns of the labour class, employee-related issues and other public demands.

The Deputy Chief Minister assured the delegations that all their genuine issues would be taken up with the concerned departments for prompt redressal.

“Our agenda is to ensure time-bound grievance redressal and seamless relief to the people,” he said.

He added that the officers have been directed to give a compassionate hearing to public issues and adopt a positive approach for their timely resolution.
