India Leading The Global AI Revolution

The India AI Impact Summit 2026, inaugurated at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, is a resounding declaration of India’s emergence as a global leader in shaping the future of artificial intelligence. With over 2.5 lakh registrations from across the world, the sheer scale of participation is itself a testament to the nation’s energy, ambition, and readiness to lead in the most consequential technological transition of our time. This landmark event, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, firmly establishes India not merely as an AI consumer but as a trusted AI creator and service provider for the entire world. The Summit’s strategic high-level dialogue on “Shaping Resilient Futures in the Age of AI” brings together global policymakers and experts to address the critical “Triple Transition”, aligning advancements in AI, low-carbon energy systems, and modernised security frameworks. This reflects India’s holistic understanding that true national resilience requires technology to serve societal equity and sustainable development. The focus on India Stack as a global model for digital public infrastructure demonstrates how the nation is exporting technology as well as a human-centric philosophy of innovation. The government’s proactive, agile policy approach deserves immense credit. From the Atal Innovation Mission nurturing startups to the Ministry of Electronics and IT’s inclusive, large-scale facilitation, the Summit exemplifies the Centre’s commitment to making India the AI talent and skill capital of the world. The collaboration with international partners, including 13 country pavilions, underscores India’s role as a bridge between advanced innovation and population-scale deployment, serving the Global South and beyond. The parallel pre-summit focus on scalable AI for climate-resilient agriculture highlights the government’s dedication to ensuring that technology reaches the grassroots – the farmer, the small entrepreneur, the marginalised. This is innovation with purpose, inclusion, and impact. India is not just participating in the global AI conversation; it is convening it, shaping it, and leading it towards responsible, inclusive outcomes. Under PM Modi’s guidance, the nation is building an innovation-led economy where technology strengthens economic resilience, accelerates energy transition, and enhances national security. This summit is a proud milestone in that historic journey.
