Drug peddler nabbed in Baramulla

Srinagar, Feb 21: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking, Police in Baramulla arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.

According to a statement, a Police team at a checkpoint established at Dhobiwan Crossing, intercepted a vehicle (Tavera) bearing registration number JK01BD-2547 driven by Adil Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Dar resident of Hardu Aboora. During search, approximately 28 grams of a charas-like substance was recovered from his possession. Accordingly, the accused was arrested and the vehicle was seized. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 15/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kunzer, and further investigation is underway.
