Srinagar 12 Mar:  The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Chief Spokesperson and MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq on Thursday laid the foundation stone for the construction of a Community Hall at Bagwanpora, Malik Bagh, Lalbazar, marking the beginning of a significant development project for the area.

Speaking on the occasion, Sadiq, as per a party statement, said that the project fulfills a long-pending demand of the local residents, which had remained unattended for decades. “The ground floor of this community hall was originally constructed in 1998 by Late Sadiq Ali Sahab during his tenure as MLA, but unfortunately the project remained incomplete and with time it dilapidated for nearly three decades, with no further progress made. Today we have revived and taken forward that vision so that the people of this area finally get the facility they deserve,” he said.
He said that Bagwanpora and Malik Bagh have long lacked a proper community space where residents can organize social, cultural and community functions. The new community hall will address this major gap and will serve thousands of residents of Lalbazar and adjoining areas, providing a dedicated space for gatherings, meetings, and important occasions.

Sadiq reiterated his commitment to ensuring that long-pending developmental works in the Zadibal constituency are revived and completed, especially those projects that directly improve community life and local infrastructure. The Construction of Community Hall will be executed by, RWD, Srinagar Municipal Corporation.

He assured the residents that the project will be completed in a timely manner, bringing long-awaited relief and a vital public facility to the people of the area.

Executive engineer SmC, PHE and other officers were present including senior citizens of the areas.
