JAMMU, MARCH 13: Directorate of Accounts and Treasuries (DGAT) has completely negated the recent media reports regarding delay in contract payments, terming them false and inaccurate.

In a statement issued here, the DGAT puts on record that all liability on account of contract payment has been cleared and there is no back- log so far as contract payment at treasuries is concerned. “The fact is that the Department has released full funds under Capex”, the statement reads.

The DGAT, as per an official statement, has further requested the media organisations that in the interest of balanced and professional reporting, Finance department’s version regarding these matters may also be included.
