Cross-Party leaders called on Farooq Abdullah

Srinagar, Mar 14: A large number of party functionaries, legislators, opposition leaders, MLAs and people from different walks of life called on Party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah to express their good wishes following his close shave from a deadly assassination attempt. Party’s Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was also present on the occasion.

 

Prominent among those who called on him included Former Chief Minister and PDP President Miss Mehbooba Mufti; CPI ( M) leader M.Y. Tarigami; party general Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, senior party leaders Muhammad Shafi Uri, Mubarak Gul, Shameema Firdous, Bashir Veeri, Tanvir Sadiq, Salman Ali Sagar, Ali Muhammad Dar, Imran Nabi Dar, Showkat Ahmad Mir, Showkat Ahmad Ganaie, Er. Sabiya, Younis Mubarak Gul and Dr Syed.

 

The visitors prayed for the longevity and good health of Dr. Farooq Abdullah and expressed hope that he would continue to lead the party and serve the people.

 

Dr. Farooq Abdullah said that he was fine and that Almighty has been kind to him. He urged the visitors to spread the message of unity among the people and cautioned them against elements attempting to create divisions in society.
