JAMMU, MARCH 25: Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Youth Services & Sports, IT and Science & Technology, Satish Sharma, Wednesday extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami.

In his message, the Minister highlighted the immense religious and cultural significance of the festival, which commemorates the birth of Lord Ram, an embodiment of righteousness, virtue and ideal leadership. He said that Lord Ram’s life and teachings continue to serve as a guiding force for the humanity, inspiring people to uphold truth, justice, compassion and humility in all spheres of life.

Satish Sharma said that Ram Navami is not merely a religious festival but a celebration of timeless values that foster harmony, discipline and ethical conduct in society. He emphasized that the ideals of “Ram Rajya” symbolize good governance, equality and welfare of all, which remain relevant even in the present times.

The Minister stressed that Jammu and Kashmir has always been a land of rich cultural diversity and composite heritage, where people of different faiths and backgrounds have lived together in peace and mutual respect. He said that such occasions further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, communal harmony and social cohesion.

Calling for collective responsibility, Satish Sharma urged the people to celebrate the festival with devotion, simplicity and adherence to traditional values, while also ensuring cleanliness and respect for public spaces. He appealed the citizens to extend a helping hand to the underprivileged and share the joy of the festival with those in need.
