Rana inaugurates free medical camp in Mendhar

MENDHAR, APRIL 08: Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, on Wednesday inaugurated a two-day free medical camp at Dak Bungalow Mendhar.

The camp has been organised by the Kathryn Kelley Memorial Charitable Society in collaboration with the Al-Faizan Charitable Trust.

Addressing the gathering, the Minister, as per an official statement, commended the organisers for their efforts in delivering specialised healthcare services directly to the residents of border and remote areas. He highlighted that such initiatives are crucial in strengthening the preventive and primary healthcare systems, particularly in areas where access to medical facilities remains limited.

The camp witnessed significant participation, with a large number of residents from Mendhar and surrounding areas evincing keen interest in availing the medical services being offered in the camp

The medical camp provided comprehensive care under a single roof with consultations across multiple specialties and providing free medicines and basic diagnostic support to the patients.

During interaction with the beneficiaries, the Minister reiterated the government’s commitment towards expanding the healthcare outreach in underserved and remote locations.

He noted that medical camps play a pivotal role in addressing the gaps in access to quality healthcare services and expressed optimism that such initiatives to continue in future for the larger good of the society.

He also assured full government support for similar humanitarian efforts aimed at improving the public health and overall community welfare.
