JAMMU, APRIL 10: Director Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Jammu Rajesh Kumar Shavan on Friday inspected the Central Food Store at Bikram Chowk to review the overall stock position, storage arrangements, infrastructure and upkeep of the premises.

The Director, as per an official statement, checked the stock position of food grains, office record, functioning of CCTV cameras and cleanliness of food godowns. He emphasized the need for maintaining proper storage standards to safeguard departmental stocks and ensure efficient functioning of the Central Store.

The Director issued strict instructions to the concerned Supervisor and Storekeepers to ensure thorough cleanliness of the entire Central Store premises, including godowns, office spaces and surrounding areas. Special stress was laid on maintaining hygiene, proper stacking of materials, removal of obsolete and unserviceable items and systematic record maintenance and inventory of the stores.

Directions were issued for immediately starting repair and renovation of damaged portions of the godowns to protect the ration.

The Director laid stress on regular inspections, cleanliness and timely maintenance of infrastructure for the smooth and efficient management of ration dispatches and storage.
