HANDWARA, APRIL 10: Additional Deputy Commissioner, (ADC), Handwara, Javed Naseem Masoodi on Friday chaired a meeting to review the progress of digitization of backlog mutations across the sub division.
During the meeting, a detailed assessment of pending mutation cases was carried out. The ADC emphasized the importance of timely and accurate digitization of revenue records to ensure transparency, efficiency, and ease of access for the public. He directed all concerned Tehsildars to expedite the process and clear the backlog within the stipulated timeframe.
The ADC, as per an official statement, stressed the need for close coordination among revenue officials and instructed Tehsildars to closely monitor the progress at the field level.
He also underscored the importance of maintaining data accuracy and adhering to prescribed guidelines during the digitization process.
Officers were asked to identify bottlenecks, if any, and take immediate corrective measures to ensure smooth and speedy completion of the task.
The ADC reiterated that digitization of land records is a key step towards strengthening governance and improving public service delivery.
The meeting was attended by Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, and other concerned revenue officials.
