Senior Superintendent of Police, Shopian, in his address  focused on the enforcement aspect of the campaign. He underlined the strict action being taken against drug peddlers and reiterated the role of the police in dismantling drug networks.

He also highlighted the importance of community cooperation, urging citizens to socially boycott drug peddlers and report their activities and  stated that public support is crucial in strengthening law enforcement efforts and ensuring long-term success.

On the occasion, various sports activities including volleyball, cricket, and tug of war were held reinforcing the campaign’s focus on engaging youth in positive and healthy activities.

A painting competition, depicting the harmful effects of drug abuse was also organized, with enthusiastic participation from students of different schools.

As part of the district wide schedule, similar awareness and outreach programmes were conducted across multiple locations, including at Subdivision Zainapora, panchayat level initiatives and institutional activities, ensuring wider community engagement.

Students from various schools participated actively, contributing to the campaign’s message of awareness and prevention.

The campaign places youth at the center, aiming to channel their energy toward constructive activities while sensitizing them about the dangers of drug abuse.
