Anantnag, Apr 13: Police on Monday recovered bodies of  a boy and a girl from an abandoned house in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

An official said that two decomposed bodies were spotted by locals inside the house in Kamad village this morning.

He said locals informed the police after noticing the bodies, following which a team reached the spot. “The FSL team collected samples for investigation from the location. It appears to be a case of suicide,” the official added.

He said that both the deceased—a 25-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl (names withheld)—were residents of a nearby village and had gone missing on March 18 this year.

After conducting the postmortem, bodies were handed over to the families for the last rites. Police have started an investigation—(KNO)
