GANDERBAL, APRIL 17:  Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Ganderbal continued its district-wide activities under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan J&K, with active participation from students across all four zones.

A series of activities, including poster making, painting, slogan writing, awareness campaigns, and sports events such as carrom and chess, were organized in government and private schools. Students participated in large numbers, reflecting strong involvement in both awareness and sports initiatives.

The programme, as per an official statement, aimed to educate youth about the harmful effects of drug abuse while encouraging a healthy and disciplined lifestyle. Sports activities served as a positive platform for channeling energy, improving fitness, and promoting constructive habits among students.

Through creative expressions, participants shared anti-drug messages and highlighted the importance of responsible choices and staying away from substance abuse. Slogans such as “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life” and “Choose Sports, No Drugs” were widely promoted.

District Youth Services and Sports Officer Ganderbal stated that regular engagement in sports and awareness activities plays an important role in building discipline and resilience among youth. He added that such initiatives are essential in guiding students towards positive choices and contributing to a drug-free society.
