Offices to close in Jammu on Apr-30, reopen in Srinagar on May-4

Jammu, Apr 18: The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh has ordered the annual Darbar Move of its main wing from Jammu to Srinagar for the summer season of 2026.

According to an order several offices, including the main wing of the High Court, office of the Principal Secretary to the Chief Justice, Registrar Vigilance, Director of the J&K Judicial Academy, Registrar Rules, Registrar IT, and the Central Project Coordinator (e-Courts), will close in Jammu on April 30 after office hours and reopen in Srinagar on May 4 in the forenoon.

The order further states that employees shifting as part of the move will be paid a special move allowance of Rs 25,000 each, while those failing to relocate within the prescribed time will not be eligible for the benefit—(KNO)
