Raise key dev, relief concerns

Jammu, Apr 21: Several legislators and other deputations on Tuesday called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and raised various issues about their respective areas.

MLA Gurez, Nazir Ahmed Khan (Gurezi), MLA Samba, Surjit Singh Slathia, MLA Lolab Qayser Jamshed Lone and MLA Bani Dr Rameshwar Singh met the Chief Minister and highlighted a range of constituency-specific concerns.

MLA Gurez, representing one of the far-flung areas of Jammu and Kashmir, put forth several developmental issues and other constituency-specific demands.

A deputation representing private power companies also called on the Chief Minister and discussed issues related to new independent power producers in Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, a deputation from the Chishoti–Paddar area of Kishtwar district apprised the CM of issues arising from the cloudburst in the Chishoti area, including the rehabilitation of affected families.

The Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to all the deputations and assured them that their genuine concerns would be examined on priority and appropriate action taken for their early redressal.
