BARAMULLA, APRIL 29: As per the scheduled calendar, the 100-day milestone of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was successfully observed Wednesday across several Panchayats of Block Rafiabad, including Halqa Yarbugh, with a series of awareness programmes and padyatras.

The activities, as per an official statement, were led by Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Baramulla, Mudasir Hussain, who spearheaded the padyatra and awareness camps. Officials, PRI members, youth, and locals participated in large numbers, reflecting strong community engagement.

Speaking on the occasion, the ACD highlighted the growing threat of substance abuse and emphasized the need for sustained awareness at the grassroots level. He stated that such initiatives, conducted as per the scheduled calendar, are crucial in educating people, especially the youth, about the harmful effects of drugs and in fostering a collective responsibility to eliminate the menace from society.

He further urged community members, particularly young people, to stay away from drugs and actively contribute towards building a healthy and progressive society. He also appreciated the efforts of all stakeholders in making the programmes successful.

The events concluded with participants taking a pledge to support the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat and ensure a safer future for coming generations.
