Srinagar, Oct 22: The Kashmir Valley is all set for a blockbuster cricket season as a wave of international and domestic cricket stars prepare to descend on Srinagar for the Indian Heaven Premier League (IHPL)—2025, kicking off on October 25 at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar.

According to details, several big names from around the cricketing world have been confirmed for the inaugural edition of the IHPL.

The details reveal that among the marquee signings are West Indies legend Chris Gayle, New Zealand’s explosive opener Martin Guptill, Australian star Shaun Marsh, Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and West Indian spinner Garey Mathurin.

Adding to the excitement, former West Indies opener Devon Smith and J&K’s very own Parvez Rasool, along with Ishan Malhotra, are also set to feature in the tournament, bringing a blend of international flair and local pride to the Valley.

As excitement builds ahead of the tournament, a series of video messages from international players have gone viral on social media.

Details accessed by KNO reveal that global cricket stars expressed their enthusiasm for the ‘Indian Heaven Premier League’, sharing messages of anticipation and support for Kashmir’s upcoming cricket spectacle.

Meanwhile, the upcoming tournament follows the tremendous success of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2024 matches held last year, where thousands of spectators filled Bakshi Stadium to witness international legends in action for the first time in four decades.

Notably, for fans, this marks yet another chance to see their heroes play at Kashmir soil, with turning the Valley into a true “Valley of Cricket.”—(KNO)
