DC Budgam inspects progress of main Bridge Project on Nallah Sukhnag

Budgam, May 12: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Athar Aamir Khan Tuesday visited Beerwah to inspect the progress of the Main Bridge being constructed over Nallah Sukhnag in Sub-division Beerwah.

During the inspection, the DC, as per an official statement, took a detailed review of the ongoing works and was informed by the concerned executing agency that the project has achieved around 45 percent physical progress as on date.

Officers and engineers present on the occasion briefed the DC about the current status of construction, technical aspects of the project, and the timeline for completion.

The DC directed concerned officials and executing agencies to ensure timely completion of the bridge so that the people of Beerwah and adjoining areas can benefit from improved connectivity and safer transportation facilities at the earliest.

During the visit, the DC stated that main bridge approved under NABARD XXX, is a vital infrastructure initiative aimed at strengthening the main connectivity corridor between Beerwah and Budgam, thereby improving transportation in the area.

The DC said,  “bridge will play a crucial role in enhancing socio-economic activities in the region by facilitating better access to educational institutions, healthcare services, markets, and other essential public services”. He said that the District Administration is committed towards accelerating developmental works and strengthening public infrastructure across the district.

Besides, SDM Beerwah, Toufeeq Gazi, Executive Engineers, and other concerned officers accompanied the DC during the inspection visit.
