VHSND Programme organized at Poshan Narvaw Baramulla

BARAMULLA, MAY 22: A Village Health, Sanitation and Nutrition Day (VHSND) programme was successfully organized Friday at Poshan Narvaw under the aegis of the Office of the District Programme Officer, Mission Poshan , Baramulla.

The programme, as per an official statement, witnessed the participation of  Dr Sheeba Inayat, District Programme Officer Mission Poshan Baramulla , CDPO Naravaw, officials from the Health Department, Panchayat Secretary, Education Department, concerned Supervisor, Nutrition Mobiliser, Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi Helpers. Approximately 150 participants attended the event.

During the programme, general awareness was provided regarding the services and schemes of ICDS. Informative sessions were conducted on health education, sanitation, nutrition and adolescent health.

 Special emphasis was laid on creating awareness among adolescent girls regarding health, hygiene and important social issues.

Awareness on drug abuse was also provided during the programme, highlighting its harmful effects on health, family and society.

 Participants were encouraged to stay away from drugs and promote a healthy and positive lifestyle within the community.

The programme concluded with active community participation and appreciation from the attendees for the informative and awareness-based activities conducted during the event.
