Discusses housing, urban infra, connectivity projects

 Srinagar, June 04: Several public representatives, senior army officers, and civil officers on Thursday called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at the Civil Secretariat and discussed key developmental and public welfare issues across Jammu and Kashmir.

 

During the day, MLAs Dr Rameshwar Singh (Bani) and Sajad Shaheen (Banihal) called on the Chief Minister and raised various constituency-related developmental and public welfare issues. The Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the issues projected by the legislators and assured their appropriate consideration and follow-up action.

 

Chairman & Managing Director, HUDCO, New Delhi, Sanjay Kulshrestha also called on the Chief Minister. During the meeting, they discussed a wide range of housing and urban infrastructure projects, including the Urban Challenge Fund (UCF), water supply, sewerage, drainage, road connectivity and power infrastructure, among other matters.

 

Later, Lieutenant General Harpal Singh, Director General, Border Roads Organisation (BRO), called on the Chief Minister and apprised him of various ongoing Beacon projects and infrastructure works being executed across Jammu and Kashmir.

 

The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of ongoing infrastructure initiatives and reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening development delivery and addressing public issues across all regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
