LG Sinha, Chinar Corps, Chinar warriors pay tributes to brave hearts
Srinagar, Jun 10: Two soldiers died in an accidental blast near the Line of Control (LoC) in North Kashmir’s Uri sector in Baramulla district on Wednesday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the incident occurred in the Kamalkote area of the Uri sector. “Two soldiers identified as Arjun Jadhav and Vikram Balakrishna, hailing from Maharashtra sustained critical injuries during the accidental explosion. The injured were rushed to the Army’s base hospital in Badamibagh Cantonment area of Srinagar, but despite the best efforts of the doctors, they couldn’t be revived,” the official said.
The deceased soldiers belonged to the 8 Rashtriya Rifles. The exact details as to how the explosion occurred are awaited. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid homage to Army brave hearts.
“I salute the supreme sacrifice of our bravehearts. The nation shall remain forever grateful to their selfless devotion to duty. We stand united in solidarity with the families of the martyrs in this hour of grief,” the Lieutenant Governor said. Srinagar based Army’s Chinar Corps paid solemn tribute to the supreme sacrifice of bravehearts, who laid down their lives in the line of duty for the Nation. “Their unwavering courage, devotion and selfless service will continue to inspire generations.”
Chinar Warriors while paying tributes to the brave hearts said, “We salute their indomitable valour and sacrifice. We stand firmly with the bereaved families in this hour of grief and remain committed to their dignity and well-being.” (KNO)
