‎‎RAJOURI, JULY 04: In a significant initiative to promote modern and diversified agricultural practices, the Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Ravi Kumar Sihag Saturday flagged off a contingent of 40 farmers for a seven-day interstate exposure-cum-training programme at CSK HPKV, Palampur (HP) under the ATMA (SMAE) 2026-27 programme.

‎‎The Chief Agriculture Officer Rajouri Rajesh Verma, as per an official statement, along with officers of the Agriculture Department were present on the occasion.

‎‎The exposure visit has been organised to provide farmers with practical knowledge and firsthand experience of advanced agricultural technologies and successful farming models. During the training, the participants will be exposed to mushroom cultivation, beekeeping, protected cultivation, horticulture, integrated farming systems, value addition and other innovative farming practices.

‎‎The ADC encouraged the farmers to actively participate in the training and learn the techniques thoroughly. He urged them to adopt the best practices on their own farms after returning and share the knowledge with other farmers so that the benefits of modern agriculture reach a wider farming community.

‎‎The CAO said that the exposure programme aims to build the capacity of farmers by acquainting them with proven technologies and successful agricultural practices, enabling them to enhance productivity, diversify their farming activities and improve their income.

‎‎The Department of Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare reiterated its commitment to empowering farmers through regular training, exposure visits and extension activities to promote sustainable and profitable agriculture across the district.
