IGNOU Admissions for July 2026 cycle to close on July 15

Srinagar, July 11: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has invited applications for admission to its undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, postgraduate diploma and certificate programmes offered through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online modes for the July 2026 admission cycle. The last date for admission and re-registration is July 15, 2026.

The University, as per a PIB statement, has also introduced several new programmes, including Four-Year Undergraduate Programmes (FYUP) in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, besides new programmes in Climate Change, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Criminal Justice Social Work, Geriatric Health and Care, and MBA specialisations in Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Finance Management and Operational Management approved by UGC and AICTE.

Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Centre Srinagar, Dr. A.H. Rizvi urged prospective learners to complete the admission process before the deadline and cautioned them against fraudulent calls or messages seeking payment through QR codes, WhatsApp or other social media platforms. He also advised eligible students to complete re-registration before July 15 to avoid last-minute inconvenience.

IGNOU has also established a new Study Centre at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K), which will offer programmes of the School of Agriculture through the Open and Distance Learning mode.
