Doda, Jul 13 (KNO): A cricketer died after suddenly collapsing while playing a match in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Monday, officials said.
Officials said that the cricketer collapsed on the field while bowling during a match at the Sports Stadium in the Thaloran area of Gandoh tehsil.
He was immediately rushed for medical attention but was declared dead. The exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Sohail, a resident of Bhaderwah.
The body has been sent for medico-legal formalities and will be handed over to the family after completion of the necessary procedures—(KNO)
