BARAMULLA, JULY 27: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore, Dr. S.A. Raina Monday chaired a meeting with all fertilizer dealers of Sub-District Sopore to review the quality, pricing and standard weight of fertilizers being supplied to farmers.

The meeting, as per an official statement, was held to ensure that farmers receive quality agricultural inputs at government-approved rates and in prescribed quantities. The ADC stressed that all fertilizer dealers must strictly adhere to the notified rates, maintain standard weights and ensure the supply of genuine and quality products.

He warned that any deviation from the prescribed norms or involvement in overcharging, underweight supply or sale of substandard products would invite strict legal action.

Dr. Raina directed the concerned stakeholders to maintain transparency in their business practices and cooperate with the Agriculture Department and enforcement agencies in safeguarding the interests of the farming community.

The meeting was also attended by Law Enforcement Inspector, Baramulla, Hilal Ahmad, who emphasized the importance of strict compliance with the relevant laws and regulations governing the sale and distribution of fertilizers.

The participants assured the chair that they would fully comply with the prescribed guidelines and continue to provide quality services to the farming community.
