BUDGAM, JULY 30: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Athar Aamir Khan on Thursday chaired a meeting of the District Level Screening-cum-Coordination Committee (DLSCC) to review and clear cases under SRO-43 for compassionate appointment in favour of the next of kin of terror victims in the district.
During the meeting, the committee, as per an official statement, recommended cases for compassionate appointment after a thorough scrutiny of the applicants’ credentials and verification reports. The cases have been referred to the General Administration Department (GAD) for further necessary action.
The cases were cleared after detailed deliberations and discussion by the committee members.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for the speedy disposal and clearance of such cases to ensure timely relief to the affected families. He observed that affected families have high expectations from the government and deserve prompt assistance and support.
The Deputy Commissioner further directed all concerned departments to ensure that all required formalities and verifications are completed within the stipulated timeframe for timely disposal of cases at the District level.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Budgam, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), senior officers from CRPF, District Information Officer (DIO), Deputy Superintendent of Police (Headquarters), Deputy Superintendent of Police, CID (CIK), Tehsildar Beerwah, and Tehsildar Budgam.
