Says NC’s fight for restoration of J&K’s statehood will continue

Srinagar, Aug 06: National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Thursday called the August 5, 2019 constitutional changes in Jammu and Kashmir as ‘unconstitutional’ and said people across the country stand with the party on the issue.

Talking to reporters here, Dr Farooq said everyone knows what happened on August 5, 2019 was unconstitutional. “National Conference’s struggle for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood will continue,” he added.

Asked about remarks allegedly made by BJP MP Giriraj Singh against Mehbooba Mufti, Dr Farooq declined to comment, saying, “I am not going to answer any questions about Mehbooba Mufti.”—(KNO)
