JAMMU, AUGUST 14: A Tiranga Rally was organised the other day by the Sub-Divisional Administration, RS Pura in collaboration with the Border Security Force (BSF) and other departments to promote and foster the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
The highlight of the rally, held the other day, was a fleet of hundreds of tractors driven by farmers. The participation of BSF personnel, officials, former PRI representatives, youth and local citizens added patriotic spirit and grandeur to the Rally. The Rally started from Satowali Ground and culminated at the Octroi Check Post, Suchetgarh International Border.
Alongside the rally, a Tiranga March was also taken out in which participants carried the National Flag and raised patriotic slogans throughout the route. BSF personnel also joined the celebrations.
A Mitti Yatra was also organised as part of the programme, during which soil from the International Border area was carried by the participants. The event, as per an official statement, also included a presentation on the local culture and traditions of the border belt.
A plantation drive was held on the occasion and saplings were distributed among the participants.
The rally concluded at Suchetgarh International Border where the participants paid tribute to the soldiers posted there. Refreshments and lunch were also arranged for the participants at the venue.
