Man killed, 11 injured in Rajouri accident

Rajouri, Aug 17: A man was killed while 11 others were injured after a vehicle skidded off the road in the Thadikassi Tandwal area of Rajouri district on Monday, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the accident occurred around noon when a vehicle bearing registration number JK11G-8874 skidded off the road and hit several vehicles in the area.

He said that following the accident, a rescue operation was launched and the injured were immediately evacuated to Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri for treatment.

The official added that a man identified as Munish Kumar of Dhani Dhar was killed in the accident, while the condition of the injured persons is being ascertained.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident. (KNO)
