Srinagar, Aug 18: Soura Police Station on Tuesday conducted a cannabis eradication drive in the Blochipora area here, officials said.
An official said that the drive was carried out to remove cannabis plants growing in the area and prevent their spread in the locality.
“The initiative was aimed at keeping the locality free from the menace of cannabis and creating awareness among residents about its harmful effects,” the official said.
Locals from the area appreciated the police for conducting the drive, saying such initiatives would help curb the spread of cannabis plants and promote a safer environment in the area—(KNO)
