Srinagar, Aug 20: United States Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, reached Leh on Thursday as part of his visit to Ladakh.

Gor, who met Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in Srinagar on Wednesday, flew to Leh today after his flight was delayed due to adverse weather conditions.

Sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the Ambassador took part in river rafting in Leh. “He visited the Zanskar–Indus confluence at Nimmu and joined a rafting expedition along the stretch from Tsogti,” they said.

Gor’s visit to Leh coincides with the presence of Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, in the town. However, it was not immediately known whether a meeting between the two would take place. (KNO)
