KULGAM, AUGUST 21: A meeting of the District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee (DLAMC) was held Friday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, to review Aadhaar saturation, functioning of enrolment centres, the Mandatory Biometric Update (MBU) campaign, and pending applications on the State Verification Portal.
It was informed that overall Aadhaar saturation in the district stands at 96.87%, though saturation among children aged 0-5 years remains at 53.10%.It was further apprised that 9,865 Mandatory Biometric Update cases remain pending among students.
The Chair, as per an official statement, directed all concerned to expedite enrolment of left-out children, operationalize non-functional Aadhaar centres, complete pending biometric updates in schools, and dispose of pending applications on the State Verification Portal at the earliest, with compliance reports to be submitted to the District Administration.
The meeting was attended by the ADC Kulgam Vikar Ahmad Giri, ACR Kulgam Reyaz Ahmad Shah,CPO Kulgam Malik Suheel, Chief Education Officer Fayaz Ahmad Mir, District Social Welfare Officer, District Statistics and Evaluation Officer, District Lead Bank Manager, Post Master Kulgam, Project Manager UIDAI, and other concerned officers.
