KULGAM, AUGUST 27: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, Thursday chaired a meeting to review the progress and implementation of various financial inclusion and social security schemes in the district.
During the meeting, the DC, as per an official statement, took stock of the coverage and progress of beneficiaries under various financial inclusion and social security initiatives. He also reviewed the effectiveness of existing mechanisms for identifying eligible beneficiaries and facilitating their access to various entitlements and services under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY),
Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY) and other such schemes.
The concerned officers presented the latest status of implementation, achievements made, issues requiring intervention and measures being undertaken to further enhance outreach and coverage of the schemes.
The DC stressed coordinated efforts among all concerned departments to ensure inclusion and registration of people for financial inclusion and social security schemes.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Malik Suheel; Chief Medical Officer,Chief Education Officer, Lead District Manager; Chief Horticulture Officer; Chief Agriculture Officer,District Social Welfare Officer; Assistant Labour Commissioner and other concerned officers and officials.
