DC reviews implementation of National AYUSH Mission in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, AUGUST 31: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa, who is also the Chairman of the District AYUSH Society on Monday chaired a review meeting to assess the functioning of the AYUSH Department and the implementation of the National AYUSH Mission in the district.

The meeting, as per an official statement, was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Jugal Kishore; Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh and other officers from various departments.

At the outset, District AYUSH Officer Dr. Surekha Pandita delivered a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the implementation of the National AYUSH Mission and the functioning of the AYUSH Department in the district.

The DC directed the AYUSH Department to scale up its progress and achieve the prescribed targets within the stipulated timelines. He stressed the need to intensify outreach programmes and directed the department to ensure the availability of services under major AYUSH Public Welfare Programmes at all AYUSH institutions across the district.

The DC further exhorted the District AYUSH Officer to undertake regular visits to AYUSH healthcare facilities to assess their functioning, identify gaps and ensure effective and quality service delivery.
