KULGAM, SEPTEMBER 09: In preparation for the upcoming two-day Veshaw Literary and Trade Festival-2026, Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, Wednesday convened a meeting of senior officers and concerned stakeholders at the DC Office, Kulgam to finalize the arrangements for the successful conduct of the festival.

The meeting, as per an official statement, was attended by ADC Viqar Ahmad Giri, ACR Reyaz Ahmad Shah, ACD Bilal Ahmad Kamgar, CPO, Malik Suheel, Principals of Degree Colleges, Chief Education Officer, Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti and R&B Departments, Tehsildars, Executive officers of urban local bodies and other district and sectoral officers.

During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on various aspects pertaining to the arrangements for the two-day literary-cum-trade festival.

The DC fixed the department wise responsibilities for the preparations and issued necessary directions for ensuring timely completion of all assigned responsibilities.

The DC directed the concerned departments to work in close coordination and ensure that all requisite arrangements, including venue management, sanitation, drinking water, power supply, traffic regulation, security, public convenience and other essential facilities, are put in place well in advance for the smooth, impactful and hassle-free conduct of the literary programmes and other activities scheduled as part of the festival.
