SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 06: Mission Shakti-Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women, Shopian Thursday organized an awareness-cum-interactive programme at AWC, Aloowpora, Shopian, aimed at sensitizing the local community about various government welfare schemes and initiatives designed for the upliftment of underprivileged women in the district.
During the programme, the team from Mission Shakti briefed participants about the active schemes and services available for women’s welfare, their rights, entitlements and ways to access these benefits. Women were also encouraged to become self-employed by taking advantage of different government-supported livelihood programmes.
The participants were informed about important helpline numbers and support mechanisms available for them. The team also listened to the grievances and concerns of women from the area and assured them of necessary follow-up through the concerned authorities.
The event received an enthusiastic response from the local women, who appreciated the efforts of Mission Shakti for reaching out to rural communities and guiding them towards self-reliance and empowerment.
