DODA, OCTOBER 07: The health department Doda has started preparations for the launch of JOSH (Joint Squad for Health) Teams and the felicitation of TB Mukt Panchayats scheduled to be held on October 8, 2026 across the country.
In this regard, a virtual review meeting was convened by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Vinod Sharma, which was attended by District Tuberculosis Officer (DTO) Dr. Raj Kumar; Block Medical Officers, Divisional ASHA Coordinator, District ASHA Coordinator, District Nodal Officer, NTEP, besides Senior Treatment Supervisors (STS) and other concerned officials and field functionaries.
The CMO reviewed the preparedness for the district-level programme and discussed the key components and requisite actions to ensure successful conduct of the events scheduled for October 8, 2026.
The meeting discussed the plan for organising district-level activities, community mobilization, orientation sessions, inter-sectoral coordination and overall preparedness for the programme.
“The district-level activities will be organized in a coordinated and meaningful manner, with active participation from health personnel, ASHAs and other stakeholders, so as to strengthen community engagement and reinforce the collective commitment towards TB elimination and improved public health outcomes,” Dr. Vinod Sharma emphasized.
The meeting concluded with directions to all concerned to remain closely coordinated and ensure that the necessary arrangements are completed well in advance for the successful conduct of the JOSH Teams launch and TB Mukt Panchayats felicitation programme on October 8, 2026.
