Blaze damages 5 houses in Anantnag

Anantnag, Oct 07: Five residential houses were damaged after a fire broke out in the Qazi Mohalla area of Anantnag during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, officials said.

An official said that the fire damaged five residential houses in the area, leaving one person injured.

He said the Fire and Emergency Services Department rushed to the spot after receiving information and brought the blaze under control with the assistance of local residents.

The official said no loss of life was reported in the incident, while the injured man sustained minor burn injuries and was shifted to a hospital for medical assistance.

Meanwhile, the cause of the fire is under investigation, he added—(KNO)
