DC reviews progress of water supply schemes, AMRUT 2.0 works, utility shifting in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, OCTOBER 08: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Minga Sherpa Thursday convened a meeting with officers of the concerned departments to review the progress of ongoing water supply schemes, works under AMRUT 2.0 and shifting of utilities in the district.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh and other officers concerned.

The DC undertook a detailed review of various components of the water supply schemes, including filtration units, storage structures, pumping equipment, electrical substations and civil works. He also reviewed the physical and financial progress achieved under AMRUT 2.0 and assessed the status of utility-shifting works.

The concerned departments were asked to complete the shifting of utilities at the earliest to avoid any hindrance to the execution of ongoing projects. The executing agencies were instructed to mobilize adequate manpower and machinery and expedite the pace of work to achieve the stipulated targets within the prescribed timelines.

 Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Department was directed to set monthly targets for the ongoing works and ensure their regular monitoring for timely completion.

The DC directed the executing agencies to strictly adhere to all prescribed guidelines, technical specifications and quality standards of the schemes. He emphasized the need for effective inter-departmental coordination, close monitoring and timely completion of all works.
