KULGAM, OCTOBER 10: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, Saturday chaired a meeting at Mini Secretariat Kulgam to discuss arrangements for the upcoming Veshow Festival-2026.
During the meeting, department wise responsibilities were fixed and the need for coordinated efforts among all concerned departments to ensure the successful organisation of the annual festival was emphasized. The officers were directed to make necessary arrangements well in advance and ensure the availability of all facilities, logistics, services for the visiting public.
The concerned departments, as per an official statement, were instructed to establish stalls showcasing government schemes, departmental activities, services, local products, handicrafts and other initiatives.
Emphasis was laid on promoting the district’s cultural heritage, literary activities, trade, art and crafts, local cuisine and entrepreneurial potential through the festival. The concerned departments were asked to ensure active participation and fulfil their assigned responsibilities in a timely manner.
The meeting was attended by ADC Kulgam, Vikar Ahmad Giri, ACR Kulgam, Reyaz Ahmad Shah, CPO Kulgam, Suhail Malik, SDM Noorabad, Bashir Ul Hassan, ACD Kulgam, Bilal Ahmad, SE,R&B, DIO, DTO, CAO,CHO, Executive Engineers and other concerned officers.
