The advisory states that traffic on Residency Road, from Radio Kashmir Crossing to Polo View, will remain suspended from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Restrictions will also remain in place on M.A. Road, from Budshah Chowk towards Dalgate and Badyari up to Nehru Park, from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM.

Residency Road, from Court Road-Clock Tower to Biscoe School Crossing, will remain closed from 5:00 AM to 8:30 AM.

“Traffic towards Police Station Rajbagh and Presentation Convent School from Jawahar Nagar/Lal Mandi, as well as from Hattrick towards Abdullah Bridge-Zero Bridge, Rajbagh and Aramwari, will remain restricted from 5:00 AM to 8:30 AM,” the advisory reads.

Traffic from Hotel Lalit towards Gupkar Road and Ram Munshi Bagh, as well as from Sonwar towards Ram Munshi Bagh, will also remain suspended during the same period.

Regarding alternate routes, the advisory states that motorists travelling from Harwan, Shalimar, Nishat and Brein should use the Burzahama-Chandpora-Tailbal-Zakura-Habbak-Naseembagh route and vice versa.

Vehicles travelling from Ganderbal and Nagbal towards Lal Chowk should use the 90 Feet Soura Road, while those travelling from Rambagh towards Rajbagh should use Jawahar Nagar Bund Road.

“Motorists travelling from Rainawari and Saidakadal towards Hazratbal should use Lal Bazar Road via Grills Cut towards Kanitar,” the advisory reads.

The advisory also lists designated parking facilities for marathon participants, including SP College Ground, SDA Parking opposite Pick ‘N’ Choose, Multilevel Parking Press Colony, Presentation Convent School, Gindun Park Rajbagh, Institute of Hotel Management Rajbagh, Directorate of Horticulture Rajbagh, Football Ground TRC, Floriculture Park R.R. Road and Cricket Ground TRC opposite J&K Bank Headquarters.

Heavy motor vehicles will not be allowed on R.R. Road, Gupkar Road, Boulevard Road and Foreshore Road from 8:00 PM on October 24.

The public has been advised to avoid unnecessary movement on Gupkar Road, M.A. Road, Residency Road, Boulevard Road, Badyari, Dalgate, Nishat Foreshore Road, Habbak Crossing and the area near Sir Syed Gate of Kashmir University, particularly between 5:00 AM and 1:30 PM on October 25.

The advisory further states that students appearing in examinations should carry valid admit cards to facilitate their movement through the restricted routes.

“Traffic cut-off points will include Lal Mandi, Jahangir Chowk, Mamta Crossing and Ikhwan Chowk from 5:00 AM to 8:30 AM. Nishat, Kralsangri, Unani Hospital, Pantha Chowk, Harwan and Grills Junction Hazratbal will remain restricted from 5:00 AM until the marathon concludes,” the advisory reads, adding that ambulances and other emergency vehicles will be allowed priority passage through the shortest possible routes.
