Srinagar, Nov 07: As autumn descends upon Kashmir, the Valley transforms into a mesmerizing blend of gold and red hues, with fallen Chinar leaves carpeting the ground like nature’s own artwork.

In Srinagar, the Chrysanthemum Garden, the University of Kashmir’s Naseem Bagh, Nishat Srinagar Garden, Shalimar Garden and the Chinar-lined Boulevard Road among others have emerged as the season’s star attractions.

Gardens across the city are drawing hundreds of visitors daily, from photographers chasing the perfect shot to families relaxing under the shade of centuries-old trees.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the fall of Chinar leaves adds a unique charm to Kashmir’s classic autumn season.

A local from Khanyar, said it is beautiful to watch the leaves gently fall, turning the surroundings into shades of gold and red. “The leaves, the view, the colours everything looks magical,” he said.

The golden avenues near the University of Kashmir’s Naseem Bagh, home to majestic Chinars, along with Badamwari and other gardens, have also become magnets for visitors.

Tourists, students and local families are seen posing for photographs, tossing leaves into the air and capturing memories of the fleeting season.

“Every year we look forward to this moment, the sunlight filtering through Chinar leaves, the way everything glows is simply amazing,” said Mohammad Shoaib, a student posing for pictures at the university campus. “Autumn in Kashmir is not just a season, but it’s a feeling,” he added.

Similarly, for many, this time of year carries a quiet charm. Another student from Srinagar said, “The Chinars remind us that even endings can be beautiful.”

It is worth mentioning that as October ends and November begins, the Valley slowly prepares for winter’s hush. Residents, tourists and nature lovers gather in parks, gardens and tree-lined avenues to enjoy the rustle of falling Chinar leaves. (KNO)
