Assures responsive governance

Srinagar, Oct 29: Minister for Revenue; Power Development Department (PDD); Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs; Disaster Management, Monitoring, Relief and Rehabilitation (DMMR); and Elections, Ali Mohammad Sagar, on Thursday assumed office.

Soon after taking charge, the Minister met several deputations representing different sections of society. They raised public issues, developmental concerns and administrative grievances requiring the intervention of the concerned departments, and sought their early resolution.

Sagar heard the deputations and took note of the issues raised. He assured them that the government was committed to addressing genuine public grievances and ensuring their concerns received due attention from the concerned authorities.

Emphasising the importance of accessible and responsive governance, Sagar said regular interaction with the public helps identify ground-level challenges and practical solutions. He reiterated the government’s focus on improving public service delivery, enhancing administrative efficiency and reducing difficulties in accessing essential services.

The Minister stressed the need for close coordination among departments to resolve public issues in a timely manner. He said effective governance requires a proactive approach, accountability and sustained engagement with citizens.

Sagar said matters raised by the deputations would be taken up with the relevant authorities for examination and appropriate action, wherever required. He reaffirmed his commitment to public welfare, effective governance and the timely redressal of people’s concerns.

The interaction reflected the government’s continued emphasis on direct communication with citizens and addressing grievances through appropriate administrative channels.
