KISHTWAR, NOVEMBER 10: The 350th annual Urs of Hazrat Shah Asrar-ud-Din Sahib (RHA) was observed with immense devotion in Kishtwar Monday, drawing devotees from across the District and other parts of Jammu and Kashmir.

Shah Asrar-ud-Din Sahib, one of Kishtwar’s most venerated saints, symbolizes the area’s shared cultural heritage and interfaith harmony. Every year, thousands of devotees from diverse backgrounds and regions gather at his shrine in Kishtwar to pay homage and seek blessings.

The district administration in collaboration with the Auqaf Islamia Kishtwar, made seamless arrangements to ensure a peaceful congregation. A significant number of devotees visited the shrine, facilitated by provisions made by the district administration and Auqaf Islamia.

Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma extended his heartfelt greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of the Urs.

In his message, he prayed for enduring peace, prosperity, and communal harmony in the District. He also emphasized the importance of preserving the region’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage, which continues to inspire unity and devotion among its people.

The DC had also directed all relevant departments to provide necessary facilities, including uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water, essential supplies, security, transport and sanitation for the devotees.

Additionally, a control room was set up by the district administration, in coordination with the Police Department and District Information Centre, to assist pilgrims during the Urs. A help desk was also established by the District Administration for the convenience of the pilgrims.

Besides, duty magistrates were deployed at various locations and at the venue to ensure a hassle-free, smooth and safe celebration of the Urs.
