Unveils official Jersey for 3rd edition of Jammu Midnight Marathon

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 13: In a spirited move to promote fitness and community participation, Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Information Technology, Youth Services and Sports, Satish Sharma unveiled the official jersey for Jammu Midnight Marathon – 3rd Edition, scheduled to be held on 15th November 2025 at Maulana Azad Stadium here on Thursday.

While unveiling the jersey, Satish Sharma lauded the efforts of the organizers for successfully conceptualizing and sustaining the idea of a night marathon in Jammu, symbolizing the city’s growing enthusiasm towards fitness and sports. He said that such events not only promote physical well-being but also strengthen social unity, youth engagement, and community pride.

“The Jammu Midnight Marathon reflects the vibrancy, discipline, and determination of our youth. I urge every citizen, particularly the younger generation, to come forward and participate in this marathon to celebrate fitness, endurance, and togetherness,” the Minister said.

The Minister reiterated the Government’s commitment to promoting sports culture in the Union Territory by enhancing infrastructure, encouraging public participation, and providing greater opportunities for athletes at all levels. He further emphasized that under the vision of Omar Abdullah led Government, Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing a transformation in sports development, with increased focus on creating modern playfields, training facilities, and youth engagement programs

The Jammu Midnight Marathon is being organized under the aegis of the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council in collaboration with Real-time Sports, and is powered by COROS in association with Monalisa. The event, over the past editions, emerged as one of the most exciting and popular sports events in the Union Territory, drawing participants from diverse age groups and regions.

The upcoming Jammu Midnight Marathon – 3rd Edition will feature multiple race categories designed to suit all levels of runners, from professional athletes to fitness enthusiasts. The event will commence from Maulana Azad Stadium and traverse through key city routes, providing a safe, well-lit, and vibrant atmosphere for participants.
