Baramulla police intensifies action against terror network

Baramulla, Nov 13: J&K Police in Baramulla executed a series of meticulously coordinated preventive operations across the district, a spokesman said in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

The concerted initiative was aimed at fortifying internal security architecture, neutralizing subversive and law-defying elements, and reinforcing the overall climate of public order and civic assurance.

During these operations, the following actions were undertaken: 06 individuals linked with subversive networks were brought to Police stations and bound down under law; 22 properties associated with terrorist associates were searched; 20 terrorist associates were bound down and 02 were sent to jail under preventive detention; 02 individuals booked under UAPA (presently on bail) were examined, 01 bound down under preventive law, 08 bailed UAPA accused were identified for bail cancellation and 02 have been submitted before the competent court; 16 CASOs were conducted at different locations; 292 vehicles were thoroughly checked at various checkpoints across the district; 05 E&IMCO-linked individuals and 02 JEI affiliates were searched to ensure compliance with law; 02 absconding UAPA accused were traced and legal action initiated, police said.

These coordinated operations were meticulously executed to pre-empt potential security contingencies, neutralize disruptive elements, and preserve public order across the district.

Meanwhile, J&K Police reiterated its unwavering commitment to continue these preventive actions to strengthen stability, security, and harmony across the district—(KNO)
