Shopian, November 20: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Shopian, SKUAST-K, organized a live screening of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s release of the 21st instalment of the PM-Kissan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
The live webcast was attended by over 200 participants, including progressive farmers, agripreneurs, members of SHGs and FPOs, as well as officials of the KVK.
The event was graced by the presence of DDC member Shopian, Raja Abdul Waheed and KVK Senior Scientist and Head, Dr. Zaffar Afroz Badri, highlighting the government’s commitment to supporting farmers.
The DDC member praised the efforts of the KVK team in strengthening agriculture through scientific interventions and capacity building and farmer-centric programmes.
Earlier, KVK Shopian organized an interactive scientist-farmer session, during which subject matter experts highlighted innovative technological interventions, improved cultivation practices, and critical production strategies for rabi crops aimed at enhancing productivity and income.
Farmers actively participated and appreciated the initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, sustainability, income generation and skill development.
