DLSA Sgr holds awareness programme

SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 22: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Srinagar in collaboration with School Education Department today organized an impactful awareness programme at Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Rajbagh under the chairmanship of Haq Nawaz Zargar, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Pr. Distt. & Sessions Judge) Srinagar and under the supervision of Tabassum Qadir Parray, Sub-Judge/Secretary, DLSA Srinagar.

The session focused on mental health awareness and prevention of Child abuse, emotional wellbeing, and available legal protections.

The programme featured informative talks by resource persons including LSUM Member, Deputy LADC who discussed the importance of Mental Health, ways to manage stress, and how students can seek support when needed.

Panel Lawyer DLSA Srinagar highlighted various legal safeguards available for children, stressing the need to identify, prevent, and report any form of child abuse.

Students actively participated in the interactive session and shared their concerns and queries. The initiative aimed to empower young learners with knowledge, promote a safe environment and encourage early reporting of any violation of children’s rights.

DLSA Srinagar reiterated its commitment to conducting such outreach programmes across educational institutions to create awareness, ensure child protection and promote overall wellbeing in the community.
